Teaching
Introduction
Passionate about imparting the art of the violin, I've crafted a personalized approach to teaching that stems from my love for the instrument.
Over the last two decades, I have been dedicated to teaching violin to students of all ages and backgrounds. In New York where I lived in the past few years a faculty member at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music.
I have coached children with ADHD, served on the faculty of the Klangbaum Musikschule in Berlin, and maintained a private studio in Oxford, UK, preparing students to exams, competitions and university graduation recitals.
My Approach
My goal is to cultivate a comfortable atmosphere, fostering a relationship of trust with my students. I place a strong emphasis on achieving personal expression through well-established technique.
Having been a student myself under various teachers—ranging from nice and encouraging to oppressive—I've come to the realization that a good teacher listens to the student's personality and intentions. My teaching philosophy revolves around recognising the unique voice and potential of each student, making their personal development, thoughts, and aspirations the guiding voice in the class.
